Ford Mustang Custom Diecast Replicas, Built From Your Own Photos

Few marques carry the weight of the Ford Mustang. Whether yours is a Fox-body coupe pulled out of a barn in the Cotswolds, a daily-driven S550 GT, or a fresh Dark Horse in Grabber Blue, it has a story attached to it. A Ford Mustang custom diecast is how you keep that story on the shelf long after the car itself has moved on.

At Roys Diecast we build one-off 1:1 diecast replicas by hand, one at a time, from the photos you send in. No moulds pulled from a catalogue car. Every panel gap, wheel choice and paint code is matched to your Mustang specifically.

Every generation, from Fox-body to Dark Horse

We build Ford Mustang custom diecast models across the full lineage owners actually want commemorated. Fox-body 5.0 LX and GT (1979-1993), SN95 and New Edge Cobra, S197 Bullitt and Boss 302, S550 GT, Shelby GT350 and GT500, and the current S650 including the Dark Horse and the track-only Dark Horse R inspiration.

Factory paints we colour-match regularly include Grabber Blue, Race Red, Oxford White, Shadow Black, Kona Blue, Twister Orange, Highland Green (Bullitt), and Wimbledon White with Guardsman stripes on the older cars. If your car wears a respray or a wrap, send us a well-lit photo in daylight and we will match to the panel, not to a swatch book.

Spec detail is where a good replica pulls away from a generic model. We reproduce the specific wheels on your car, whether that is Fox-body ten-hole alloys, S197 Bullitt five-spokes, GT Performance Pack Y-spokes, or the Dark Horse's satin-black semi-gloss set. Brembo calipers get painted in the colour they actually are on your car. Pony badges, GT fender scripts, Shelby snakes and Bullitt roundels are all applied by hand.

Why Mustang owners commission a custom diecast

Mustangs tend to be commemorated at milestones. First car after passing the test. A restoration finally signed off. A father's Fox-body handed down. Retirement from a track-day habit. An S550 sold on because the family grew. We have built replicas of each of these, and the brief is always the same: capture this exact car, not a Mustang in general.

Motorsport-inspired builds are common too. Owners who have taken their GT to Silverstone or the Nurburgring often want the car preserved in its track-day trim, tow hooks and race numbers included.

Scales, pricing and what you get in the box

Three scales are offered for the Ford Mustang custom diecast: 1:24 from £69, 1:18 from £129, and 1:12 from £199. The 1:12 is the one owners typically pick for a lounge or office display, because at that size the interior stitching, gear knob detail and engine-bay plumbing genuinely read as the real car.

Every model is built on a metal alloy chassis with a composite body. Bonnet opens to a detailed 5.0 Coyote or 5.0 pushrod engine bay, down to the oil filter and coolant lines. Boot opens. Wheels rotate with matched hubs, calipers and discs. Interior is finished with correct seat pattern, stitching colour, steering wheel and shifter.

Production runs 7-10 business days from build start, then tracked courier to your door. We ship across the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Austria and Switzerland, with EUR pricing auto-converted at checkout for EU customers.

Frequently asked questions

Can you build a Fox-body Mustang with the correct four-eye or aero front end?
Yes. We build both the 1979-1986 four-eye front and the 1987-1993 aero facelift as separate body specifications. Send photos of the front end, wheels and any modifications and we will match the correct year and trim.
Will you match the exact factory colour of my S550 or Dark Horse?
Yes. We colour-match to your car, not a generic swatch. Codes like Grabber Blue, Race Red, Twister Orange, Kona Blue, Oxford White, Shadow Black and Vapor Blue Metallic are matched from your daylight photos so metallic flake and pearl read correctly.
Can you replicate aftermarket wheels or a lowered stance?
Yes. Popular fitments like Forgestars, RTRs, SVE Drift wheels, or a coilover drop are all reproducible. Include a clear side profile and a wheel close-up so we can capture offset and finish accurately.
Do you build the Shelby GT350 and GT500 variants?
Yes. Both the Voodoo flat-plane-crank GT350 and the supercharged Predator-powered GT500 are regular commissions. Snake badging, carbon fibre track pack wheels and stripe packages are all built to spec.
Which scale is best for showing off engine-bay detail on a Coyote V8?
The 1:12 is the strongest for engine-bay work. At that size the coil-on-plug covers, strut brace, intake manifold and even the oil filter read cleanly. The 1:18 still captures the essentials if space or budget is tighter.
How long from order to delivery for a Mustang build?
Production takes 7-10 business days from build start, then tracked courier delivery. Total door-to-door is usually around two weeks for UK and Western European addresses.
I have a Bullitt with the cue-ball shifter and no badges. Can you replicate that?
Yes. The debadged Bullitt look, Highland Green paint, Torq Thrust-style wheels and white cue-ball shifter are all built to the spec of your specific car, whether it is an S197 or S550 Bullitt.
Do you ship to the EU and can I pay in euros?
Yes. We ship to Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Austria and Switzerland alongside the UK. Prices auto-convert from GBP to EUR at checkout for EU visitors, and you can pay by card or bank reference.
