Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data Roys Diecast collects when you order or contact us, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed. Plain-English version follows the summary at the top.

The short version

  • We collect the minimum data needed to build and deliver your custom diecast model.
  • We do not sell your data. Ever.
  • We do not use behavioural advertising cookies.
  • We use Google Analytics with anonymised measurement for anonymous traffic stats.
  • You can email info@roysdiecast.com at any time to get a copy of your data or have it deleted.

What we collect and why

  • Name, email, delivery address, phone — to fulfil your order and contact you about it.
  • The photos of your car — to build the model.
  • Payment reference or card transaction ID — for the payment record. We do not store card numbers ourselves; those are handled by our payment processor.
  • Live chat messages — to answer your questions and quote for your build.
  • Anonymous analytics (page views, country, browser type via Google Analytics 4) — to understand which pages are useful and which are not.

How long we keep it

  • Order records: 7 years, as required for UK/EU tax purposes.
  • Your car photos: 24 months after order completion, then deleted.
  • Live chat transcripts: 12 months, then deleted.
  • Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics default), aggregated only.

Who we share it with

Only the parties strictly required to deliver your order:

  • Our payment processor (for the card transaction).
  • The courier (name + address only, for delivery).
  • Google Analytics (anonymised traffic data).
  • Nobody else. We do not sell or share your data for advertising, and we do not run affiliate tracking.

Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

  • Access — email us for a copy of everything we hold on you.
  • Deletion — email us to have your data removed (except records we are legally required to keep, like tax records).
  • Correction — email us to update wrong information.
  • Objection — email us to opt out of analytics.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies:

  • Session cookie — required for the live chat and order form to work.
  • Language preference — remembers your chosen site language.
  • Google Analytics — anonymous traffic measurement.

No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking pixels. No retargeting.

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.
How do I delete my data?
Email info@roysdiecast.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and we will remove everything we're not legally required to keep, within 30 days.
What about the photos I upload of my car?
Photos are kept for 24 months after your order completes, in case we need them for a warranty rebuild or a re-order. After that they are permanently deleted.
Do you use advertising cookies?
No. We use one session cookie (for chat and orders), one language preference cookie, and Google Analytics for anonymous traffic stats. No retargeting, no ad networks.
